With the same grit and raw animation as the Heavy Metal cartoon, Pascal Blais Studios are reviving an animated feature, The Dark Incal, from the cutting room floor. I was asked to voice the role John Difool for the trailer and was absolutely honoured.To be involved with a project of this calibre is a huge opportunity. I’m looking forward to working with the team on the final project. Pascal Blais creates some of the finest animation for commercial and corporate campaigns.

All Weather Windows – The North – AWARD WINNER

This spot may have you wearing a parka before the end of the day. A bone chilling male deep voice over to really depict the cold northern winters of Canada. All Weather Windows shot 2 great spot. This television commercial won for Best Commercial at the 2008 Sam Awards. Despite the deep, low toned, serious sound, you may get a little chuckle at the end. I’m quite proud of this spot.

Peter Swift and the Little Circus

A fun cartoon series featuring many new voiceover talent. Dave did not have a principle role in this series, but fans would recognize his voice as any number of incidentals, bad guys, bullfrogs or … just about anything. Dave’s range allows him to play the lovable characters as well as those villains that may strike fear into your heart. Peter Swift…. not necessarily the “Strike Fear” type, but he still manages to make the baddies rough and tough.

Peter Swift, a young, fearless and passionate orphan is taken in by a wandering troupe: The Little Circus. Swift integrates into the troupe with the strong intention of making the most of his new life as a circus performer. Through the members of the Little Circus, every child will find an echo to his or her most intimate concerns such as intolerance, loneliness, love and hate while spending the time with Swift and his captivating adventures.

CalExpo – California State Fair – Rush Hour

It’s a ton of concerts and great entertaiment. It’s a pie-eating-zucchini-growing-prize-pig-showing contest. And of course, it’s the thrill seeking enthusiasts ticket to paradise. Hundreds of rides and amusement park fun as you’ll see in this Television commerical for CalExpo.

Zoid – Chaotic Century

From quirky Mad scientist to heroic freedom fighter to loyal ancient robots, Dave took on a few roles in this wildly popular series, Zoids Chaotic Century. With loads of Character Voices at his disposal, Dave brought a ton of voices to this show. This video firstly features the voice character, Dr. D. A scientist with some helpful insight when it comes to the ancient civilizations.

Dave also performed the role of Rosso, as seen at the end of this video, but it was the multiple organoids that made for a vocal workout. Of course Zeke is the most notable of the heroic ancient beings, but Dave also provided vo for Ambient, Specular and Shadow.

G Gundam – The Death of Master Asia

After the great battle with Domon Kaashu, Master Asia is released from his mental chains, but also knocks at death’s door. This is an emotional scene where the student comforts his teacher during his last breaths on earth. Dave Pettitt and Mark Gatha (Domon) provide the voiceover over for this clip.

G Gundam – Master Asia VS Domon

Dave is the perfect bad guy. The ultimate villain. In more than one series, he’s played more than one bad guy. You can listen to more of his Animation Samples here. The once great teacher has become Domon Kaashu’s mortal enemy. Dave continues to voice the part of the rogue martial arts master, intent on destroying the world with the help of the Dark Gundam. This clip highlights some of Dave’s more sinister characteristics. Ever the bad guy, he packs in an intense performance, from battle scene’s to emotional breaks, to all-out dangerous and vicious.

Gundam has become one of the most successful anime franchises of all time. Dave voices the role of Master Asia in this series as well as the PS3 video games.

ATB Financial – A Bank that Answers the Phone

A friendly, folksy voice for a bank known for its friendly service. Alberta Treasury Branch’s (ATB Financial) TV commercial gives us all a little hope that not everyone uses a voicemail tree. When you call any branch, a real person answers the phone. No trying to press 0 to get an operator. Operators are staning by.

Megaman X8 – Boss Fight – Avalance Yeti

Villain voice over actor Dave Pettitt was directed to perform a non-decript russian accent for the villain voice of Megaman’s Avalanche Yeti. I believe the words the director used were “Something perhaps asian, but not too asian. Kind of Russian-y.” TADA!! Here’s the Bossman himself. Listen closely… there’s probably a little Scottish in there as well. Anyone who’s worked with Dave on animation projects, know’s he always leans to the Scot.

This is one of 2 villains Dave played in this PS2 and Gamecube Game. You’ll need to slash, shoot, smack, strike, slam and squish your way through this installment of one of the most popular video game series of all time.

Science Alberta Foundation – Wonderville – Gary Gogedder

This award-winning project by the Science Alberta Foundation give students a fun, online way of e-learning through animation. Dave brings to life, two characters of wonderville. plays the part of Dr. Faber, and in this sample, the eager beaver Gary Gogedder. Think of Gary as your High School science teacher who could also have been a used car salesman. He’s high energy, which is important to get kids excited about science.

Wonderville is place where learning is a hands-on experience. Try your hand at building at trebuchet… or help our heroes at the water treatment plant. You won’t find these games on Gamecube and there’s nothing to blow up, but these games are interactive and help kids get a handle on science.
