Tough Sports Voice Over – Miami Hurricanes

I really do enjoy voicing commercials for sports teams. There’s something deliciously primal about curling your lip and growling out a script. I should have know when I was 15 that the Miami Hurricanes sweatshirt I bought was a sign that we would one day do business together. I’m hoping my voice has leant the team a little luck this season and along with not washing jockstraps, they feel some kind of superstition about keeping their voice talent on for another season.

Corporate Narration – Rockport Works

As a guy with big feet who has a tough time finding shoes, it was a pleasure to work with one of the most comfortable brand names in North America. Rockport Works was launching a new campaign this year with the help of Atomic Dust, and the crew came to me for some sensible, blue collar voiceover. After so many intense, sports style projects, it was a nice change to just be able to relax and not sell Rockport Works boots.

Political Commercial – Green Party Voice Over

I was excited to voice the spots for the widely-loved, poorly-elected Green Party of Canada. I think all of us have a little Green Party in us. Wanting to be environmentally responsible and recognizing that there are more ways to look at progress than how we do today. These commercials were produced by Keyframe Communications and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of this project.

Medical Narration Voice Over

I got to show off my medical skills with this project. I won’t lie. I did a little rehearsing before my session with the client. They were impressed with my pronunciation skills. I always go the extra mile. If you send me a script, I’ll read it before I lay it down so I actually know what I’m saying before I say it. That’s commitment to the craft. (does my tongue-in-cheek come across in that last sentence?)

This is a thought-provoking video about auto-safety. It takes an age-old product and turns it into a new safety feature on today’s cars. It’s quite possible you have one in your car. You may have commented on how great of an idea it is. This video was produced when the technology was first launched.

Western Athletic Conference – WAC Sports Football

Dave is proud to have voiced the spots for the Western Athletic conference for the last 2 seasons. A deep, intense voiceover style. Powerful read to bring inspiration to commercials that honor some of the best college athlete in the country.

This latest spot highlights a number of WAC teams and their accomplishments with the solemn understanding that this is only the beginning. Dave lends his one of a kind voice of authority to this voiceover. Inspiring and towards the end, slightly intense and deep.

Monsanto – Yield Ready Canola

Authoritative and at the same time trustworthy. That’s the kind of vo we were going for in this Television commercial. A voice that lent credit to this seed product and offered reassurance from a product farmers were already familiar with.

Agriculture is one of most important industries, if not THE most important. Farmers and ranchers provide us with the food we live on everyday. Yield Ready canola is a product farmers trust to provide excellent yield with little crop loss due to weeds and pest.

This spot ran across Western Canada in 2008, giving a crop producers a great option for their upcoming planting season.

A narrated project for the Pacific Salmon Forum. This is a straightforward, unbiased read on a hot topic on the west coast. After extensive consultations with scientists and stakeholders, the Forum adopted a two year research strategy to fill knowledge gaps and provide the scientific underpinning for future research and recommendations for managing the interactions between aquaculture and wild salmon.
